“Pare down to the essence, but don't remove the poetry.”
― Leonard Koren

Because your home is your sanctuary. Because it is where you go rest, replenish, entertain, share and love, it is worth investing in and making it a place you absolutely love! A special artwork, picked by you, made with purpose, love, empathy and intention can bring a new energy and sense of beauty into your interior.

Welcome to my world

Nature and spirituality are at the center of my creative vision. As a Reiki practitioner and energy healer, I strive to infuse each painting with healing energy, and to carry a positive vibrational charge. When contemplating the work, the viewer embarks on a spiritual journey. From my choice of medium to the sounds that I listen to, allows for a meditative state in which creative energy can flow freely. Process holds an extremely important place within my practice, and I spend a great deal of time crafting surfaces that are intricate and complex using organic materials such as raw pigments and wax. My paintings embody a Wabi-Sabi esthetic that embraces imperfection and refers to the ever-ending cycle of life.

Everything carries a vibrational frequency. The words you speak, the thoughts you're harboring, the food you eat, the company you keep, the objects you surround yourself with and so on. When the time comes to decorate your home or office, the choice of artwork definitely matters. Crafting the right vibrational energetic environment should be a mindful task and one that brings long term wellbeing. I am committed to creating artworks that carries the highest frequency and brings about peace, calm and balance.

“It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.”
― Henry David Thoreau

What is Encaustic?

Encaustic is a Greek word meaning “to heat or burn in” (enkaustikos). Heat is used throughout the process, from melting the beeswax and varnish to fusing the layers of wax. Encaustic consists of natural bees wax and dammar resin (crystallized tree sap). The medium can be used alone for its transparency or adhesive qualities or used pigmented. Pigments may be added to the medium, or purchased colored with traditional artist pigments. The medium is melted and applied with a brush or any tool the artist wishes to create from. Each layer is then reheated to fuse it to the previous layer.

In action…

Each layer of wax has to be fused to the layer beneath, using a blow torch.
